As Director of HR, OD & Administration, your skill and experience in a similar role will be critical to lead on our new ways of working, thinking and delivering. You will strategically lead and advocate change across the workplace, you will re-envisage our HR structure, drive change and shift culture. You will need to understand cloud based electronic system capability and will help further embed our new cloud based Oracle ERP/HCM system aligning this to our PROUD transformation Programme and methodology. At the same time, you’ll modernise services and direct the Council’s Administration function – while winning the trust and respect of elected members, employees and partners.

As the strategic HR lead, you will be used to managing large scale projects that span organisational boundaries, delivering fundamental transformation. You will be CIPD-qualified at diploma level and have proven specialist HR knowledge. Your expertise will cover HR policy, employment law, organisational culture, equality, diversity and inclusion however, it’s your resilience and people skills that really set you apart. Able to inspire teams and connect with Members, you’ll understand the political landscape and instill the highest standards.

As Director of Transformation and Digital, you will be the lead for the Council wide transformation programme with a centre of excellence change function and a project management office reporting to you. You will be responsible for the ICT function across the Council, so you will need to be technically able to lead and implement the new technology with a focus on digitalising the council services, and delivering the strategy behind it

The investment has been made, and the design completed so the focus is now on delivery mode. There will also be a need to ensure the continuation at pace of our PROUD programme and the associated culture change. Reporting to the Executive Director for Resources and Transformation, we will be looking for your energy, vision, and new ideas, plus the ability to help us all see the benefits and keep us efficient and secure. Your expertise will cover ICT, cyber security, programme management, business change and transformation however, it’s your resilience and people skills that really set you apart. Able to inspire teams and connect with Members, you’ll understand the political landscape and instil the highest standards.
